Camellia Oil

Camellia Oil - A Japanese Natural Beauty Secret For Centuries

With the start of the Cherry Blossom Festival here in Philadelphia, I was reminded about one of my favorite beauty secrets...

Camellia Oil

For centuries, Japanese women have used it in their everyday beauty routines. It's a wonderful oil that will boost the sheen of your hair. Simply warm a teaspoon full of the oil in your hands and apply it to your wet hair; cover with a towel for about 20 minutes and wash and condition your hair as you normally would.

You won't believe how luxurious your hair will feel!

Take care,

PS - Try a small amount of this unique oil to remove your makeup too!

Pumpkin Pie and Saqui?

It's true! Dr. Alan Hirsch, the Director of Chicago’s Smell and Taste Treatment and Research Center confirms it...

In a study of men ages 18 to 64, 40 aromas were tested to determine which scent arouses men the most. The smell of pumpkin pie topped ladies’ fragrances.

It may sound strange, but maybe truth is stranger than fiction. After all, consider our Saqui blend.

Saqui is our warm, provocative blend of ginger, clove, and nutmeg that mingles with sensuous vanilla orchids and a delicate infusion of Valencia orange, Italian bergamot and pomelo to create stimulation, temptation, and attraction.

Pretty amazing, huh? Let me know your thoughts!

Must Have Essential Oils For Valentine's Day...

This Valentine's Day I want to share four essential oils that everyone should have in their "scent" arsenal. All are known for their aphrodisiac qualities... although their scents are completely different!

1) Jasmine is a seductive floral powerhouse. It is considered relaxing, calming, romantic, and sensual.
2) Vanilla is offers a subtle, sweet aroma. It is comforting... and sexy.
3) Rose is harmonizing and romantic... it is the essential oil for love and finally
4) Ylang Ylang is known as the "flower of flowers" in Indonesia and is used on wedding nights. Need I say more?

So why not take the plunge and check them out? After all, you can never have too much of a good thing this Valentine's Day!

Tsi-La: What is Oil Pulling?

Oil pulling is an Ayurvedic detox method that you may want to try as an alternative to mouthwash.

In a small bowl, simply combine:

1 drop of Tea Tree Oil with
1  tablespoon of Coconut Oil.

Mix well

Place the mixture in your mouth and swish it around as you would a mouthwash for 10 minutes.

The benefits? Tea tree essential oil is known for its antibacterial properties and for improving the gums.  Coconut oil is also excellent for your gums due to its anti fungal and anti bacterial properties.

Give it a try and tell me what you think!

Love,

Annie

PS -  Be sure to discard the oil into your trash so you do not clog your drain!

Double Up On Your Health: A Raw Chocolate Recipe from Tsi-La

What if we had a recipe that helped your skin both internally and externally? This delicious dessert does just that! For this delectable treat you'll need:

2 level teaspoons of raw cacao powder
1 level tablespoon of raw lucuma powder
1  pinch of sea salt
1 level tablespoon of raw coconut butter
2 tablespoons pure water and
1/2 cup of ripe banana (1 banana)

In a bowl combine the raw cacao powder, raw lucuma powder and sea salt by gently stirring them together. Fold in the tablespoon of raw coconut butter and slowly add the water as you stir the mixture to achieve your desired consistency... I like mine just thick enough to coat the back of my spoon. Next...mix the decadent chocolate mixture with a 1/2 cup of mashed bananas for a wonderful, healthy dessert.

Or add all ingredients to a Vitamix and blend well*

And don't forget...

Save a small amount of the mixture and apply it as a nourishing face mask!

Give it a try!
